Budget Clothes Shopping

I adore clothes shopping, but since I’ve been a SAHM I haven’t much partaken in the sport.  But I do know that it doesn’t need to cost you a fortune to have some cute clothes for any occasion, so I’ve been doing a bit of research to find the best online and offline deals to save you real money!!

Op Shopping

This is fun!!  To get value try and shop in the more affluent and densely populated areas.  Quite often you can pick up designer labels for merely dollars.  Grab a few friends and make a day of it.  Don’t forget to look for accessories too!

Ebay

Ebay can be great – but it’s usually the postage that gets you!  For great bargains check out the bulk/wholesale clothing area.  You can bid on bundles of clothes in your size and even if you only like a few of the items, you can always re-sell the remaining ones.  Don’t forget shoes too. Ebay sells brand new cheap shoes from all over the world.  Especially great if you want to wear something unique at a small price.

Have a Clothes Swap Party

Do you have friends a similar size to you?  Organise a Clothes Swap Party.  Grab all the ‘no longer worn’ but in ‘good condition’ clothes in your wardrobe, throw them in the middle and all go for it! Cost = FREE!!!

Make Your Own

Some people are just clever. If you’re one of these lucky few, you could save a bundle. Watch the cost of materials though, sometimes it can be cheaper to buy if you’re not careful!

Online Shops

There can be some really great deals if you shop around. Here are some really good (and above board) websites to try:

Ezibuy This is Myers on-line.  If you subscribe to their mailing list they will let you know when they have their sales, which are usually weekly.  They also have great end of season sales too so you can stock up for next year.

Stop Staring Now this place is for the inner-1950′s rockabilly chick.  It is a tad pricier – but the clothing is devine for special occasions.  They are based in the US – but with the exchange rate at the moment you could bag a deal.  Best of all – the quality is excellent!! I’ll have one of EVERYTHING please……

Do you have any bargain online shops I can add to the list?
